One of the first blogs I posted was about one of our members who, in her late 70s, regularly attends one of our Pilates classes. As registration begins for the Y’s Fall I session, I’m excited to say she is ready to sign up for her fifth session of classes! Her dedication to her health and wellness reminds me that at any age, there is no excuse not to keep your body strong.

I would like to respond to your statement about the 70 year plus member who takes Pilates weekly. It teach Core Condtioning and that class icludes Yoga and Pilates. Members in that class range in age from 20 to 80 plus (at times). The 70 plus community have proven to themselves and others that core strength can be relearded/redeveloped. ABSOLUTELY, one day at a time-anyone can and should take actions to develop strenght and flexibility. The results are miracles...
